Membership

We welcome membership applications from all organisations with, or working towards having, a presence in the Scottish Borders.

At Borders Community Action we offer two types of membership:

Full membership
Third sector organisations such as charities, trusts, social enterprises and community groups/committees.

Associate membership
(a) Statutory bodies, businesses, community council members etc
(b) Individuals

Why should I join?

Whether you are an individual, a small community group or a large national charity, becoming a member of Borders Community Action is completely free. Membership comes with a host of benefits such as:

  • Access to our training programme is discounted or free to all of our members
  • Receive support from our community development team with funding applications and organisation development
  • Receive support from our volunteering team with volunteer matching and placements, the Saltire Awards and earning the Volunteer Friendly Award
  • Be included in our newsletter's member spotlight and online promotion
  • Be part of networking and organisation celebration events 
  • Members are the first to hear about funding and development opportunities
  • Have your voice heard! Members have voting rights at our Annual General Meeting (AGM)
