Frequently asked questions

We welcome applications from any organisation with - or working towards - a presence in the Scottish Borders. This includes charities, social enterprises, community groups, and more.

There are two types:

  • Full membership: For third sector organisations like charities, trusts, and community groups.
  • Associate membership: For statutory bodies, businesses, community councils, and individuals.

Yes! Membership is completely free - no hidden fees, just real benefits.

Members enjoy discounted or free training, expert support, volunteer matching, funding alerts, promotional opportunities, and a voice in local and national decision-making.

You can apply online via our membership form. If you need help, just get in touch - we’re happy to assist.

If you're applying as an organisation, you’ll need to provide your governing document and, if applicable, your charity or company number.

We aim to approve applications within 21 days. If there’s a delay, we’ll let you know why.

No obligation - but we encourage members to take part in events and our AGM to make the most of their membership.

Absolutely. Just let us know if you’d like to end your membership - no strings attached.
