Community Spaces Decarbonisation Fund

We are pleased to publish our Community Spaces Decarbonisation Fund report, highlighting the significant programme of decarbonisation and retrofit investment supporting village halls and community spaces across the Scottish Borders.

The programme focused on improving energy efficiency, reducing energy costs and strengthening the long-term sustainability of volunteer-led community buildings that play a vital role within rural communities.

Scottish Borders village halls celebration week

Local Energy Scotland and Luths Services talked about the funding and services they provide to halls carrying out retrofit projects. We also heard from 3 halls about their experience with their retrofit projects.
